Kate is a mixed media artist. After achieving a Degree in Art and Education, she has been teaching for 25 years, both in school and running workshops. Her current work explores botanical form, using bold shapes and colours with Acrylic on board and canvas. I currently work from the Bath Artists Studios complex in Bath, focusing on making clean, sharp and simple forms in both black and white porcelain. I prefer a light touch approach to glazing; adding a pop of colour or simply a clear gloss to the interiors to contrast with the matt, sometimes textured unglazed exteriors.
